Online content made personal – flavors.me
Flavors.me is a fabulous solution to centralize all of your online content. I was just browsing the web and came across Leonieke’s page and decided to see how easy it is to actually use. Setting up a page took me only 2 mins, and about 5 mins in total to personalise the page further with fonts, colours and a background.
With so many different web services out there it can be difficult and time consuming to pull them all together. Flavors.me does all of that for you. You can add several well known services like: Flickr, YouTube, Vimeo, LinkedIn and even multiple RSS feeds. If you are thinking of making a personal website but don’t really want to have to update yet another page you can also upgrade your account with a personal url.
Chrome- browse the web
At the moment I have three web browsers on my laptop. I have been an avid FireFox user for about 3 years but recently I decided to start using the Google web browser Chrome. Chrome is everything Google says it is: fast, slick and easy to use. I like that when you open a new tab Chrome can show an overview of most visited or recent closed websites.
The only problem that remains is that certain websites don’t fully work in either FireFox or Chrome. Mostly for me these seem to be websites that have booking systems for travel or tickets. So keep Internet Explorer on your pc for those moments when you need it but otherwise make the change and start using a web browser that understands the user’s needs.
