Research hosting plans before you buy

As a business owner you don’t always have time to research everything, but when setting up a website make sure that you don’t over spend. There are alot of hosting plans to choose from but you need to ask yourself are you really going to need all that is on offer? Lets be honest, a lot of hosting plans are seriously highway robbery!

Make the extra effort and do some basic research before you commit to a hosting plan that is way overpriced! If your website consists of a couple of pages you should really not need to spend more than €50,- per year, including a domain name (url) and unlimited email.

Ask around and see what others are using and if they are happy with the service they are getting. You wouldn’t buy just any health insurance plan without researching the pro’s and con’s. So why not get acquainted with the hosting terms and get yourself a solid and reasonable web hosting plan for a reasonable price.

Make a list of what is required to run your website. For example: amount of web space, multiple databases & email, bandwidth limits, speed and reliability, FTP access. And do a Google search or check websites that offer an overview of hosting plans.
